Dr. Mark Larkin will share his personal journey with Knee Joint Distraction using the KneeReviver by ArthroSave.

Dr. Mark Larkin is the Founder and CEO of Vitaccess, a digital healthcare company that advances real-world evidence (RWE) through patient-centered technology. With a PhD in Experimental Psychology from the University of Cambridge, Mark has dedicated his career to integrating data science, behavioral insights, and patient experience to improve healthcare research and delivery. Beyond his professional achievements, Mark’s story is also deeply personal. Three years ago, he faced severe knee osteoarthritis that made daily activities increasingly difficult. Walking short distances or climbing stairs became a struggle. Rather than choosing a total knee replacement, Mark opted for a joint-preserving treatment known as Knee Joint Distraction (KJD) using the KneeReviver device by ArthroSave. The six-week treatment required commitment, but the results were life-changing. Soon after the device was removed, he was cycling and swimming again. In May this year, he achieved a remarkable milestone by completing a 90-kilometre walk across the English countryside. For Mark, the most valuable outcome has been stability and freedom of movement without the need for replacement surgery. His experience reflects the power of innovation in joint preservation and the importance of evidence-based, patient-focused care. These values continue to inspire both his recovery journey and his leadership at Vitaccess.
