Leads ArthroSave’s strategic and commercial growth, managing key stakeholders and driving innovation in joint-preserving solutions to improve patient outcomes worldwide.

Timo van Dienst brings over 25 years of experience in the orthopedic industry, having held (inter)national Sales & Marketing leadership roles at several top-tier medtech companies.

He spent more than six years at Stryker, where he helped pioneer the use of BMP-7, a bone growth–stimulating protein. At Synthes (later DePuy Synthes/J&J), he held multiple management positions over 11.5 years. In his final role as Marketing Director, he oversaw all orthopedic portfolios within DePuy Synthes in the Netherlands.

Timo then joined Smith+Nephew, where over 7.5 years he first led the Trauma implant portfolio in France, Belgium, and the Netherlands. He later became responsible for the EMEA region (Europe, Middle East, and Africa), overseeing the business of orthopedic implants for extremities (formerly Integra Extremities).

In January 2024, Timo joined ArthroSave as Chief Commercial Officer, leading the company’s commercial growth strategy. He initiated market access activities, developed sales channels across key EU markets, and strengthened relationships with key healthcare stakeholders, including providers, payers, authorities, surgeons, researchers, patients, investors, and shareholders.

Building on this experience, he was appointed CEO in November 2025. In this role, Timo leads ArthroSave’s strategic growth and international expansion in close collaboration with orthopedic surgeons to preserve joints and improve patients’ quality of life through meaningful, science-driven solutions. He drives innovation and partnerships with medical professionals, research institutes, and healthcare stakeholders worldwide. Combining medical quality, scientific integrity, and entrepreneurship, he ensures ArthroSave delivers trusted, patient-centered innovations that make a tangible impact in clinical practice.
